Deon very good quote from Lyndon B. Johnson. Education is an opportunity some view it as an problematic but education its self should never be perceived as a problem. We as educators should work together with the community to change issues of education and create solutions.
ReplyDeleteHey Deon, I like Lyndon Johnson's quote about poverty must not be a bar to learning. I really agree with this, because I have seen children whose parents have given their all so that their children can have a good education and as a result those same children were indeed able to get out of poverty and be able live a full life.
ReplyDeleteYour quotes were spot on! Particularly like the one by Janet Gonzalez-Mena...I am currently taking a refresher infant toddler class because it has been so long since I have been in the classroom with infants and toddlers and she is the author of the book we are using...pretty great stuff!
